Soft drinks and other sugary drinks pass quickly through your system. Once all that sugar has been absorbed, you’ll be hungry again. Unfortunately, given the high-calorie content of these drinks, eating more means increasing your daily calorie intake. This, of course, leads to weight gain. Replace soda or juice with unsweetened, decaffeinated tea, or even flavored water.
